Something special for the discerning palate…
Only the very best grapes from selected individual vineyards used for this premium wine, which is aged for up to 21 months in French oak barrels and then another year in refined bottles.
Lodovico consists of 80% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. After careful harvesting and meticulous selection, the grapes are de-stemmed to avoid a bitter taste. The fermentation takes place in oak barrels and thermo-controlled stainless steel tanks. Thereafter, the young wine is left to age 18 to 21 months in new French oak barrels. The result is an elegant, bursting of strength, and oily rich red wine that once poured presents itself with a special complexity. Raise a glass and the fruity, smoky, and spicy aromas rise up; mature and complex flavor of wild berries, currants, and Mediterranean spices hit the nose. With a beautiful palette of soft tannins, sweet fruit, and a long finish with an excellent strong warming alcohol, this is a very well balanced, sophisticated wine with tremendous aging potential.
Lodovico of Tenuta di Biserno confirmed that the terroir has potential for Gran Cru-quality. This top class wine does not come at a low price, but it does meet all the requirements for that special occasion.
